IFA Scotland - Upcoming Trials

Scotland has a proud association with International Futsal Alliance competitions. Having hosted the first ever IFA tournament, taking place in the city of Dundee in 2016, Scotland has reached the semi-finals on two occasions. The most recent being at the 2018 U20 World Cup, where they lost out to Catalonia and were the only team to deny eventual champions Australia victory (during the group stages).

At youth level, Scotland has been represented by the Scottish Youth Futsal Federation. However, with the first IFA Men's World Cup approaching, an independent organisation named 'IFA Scotland' will take up Scotland's invitation. We are delighted to offer this opportunity to the futsal players of Scotland.

Trials will take place in April and May, to identify the squad and coaching staff. If you are interested in attending a trial, please click the button below. We will confirm trial dates and locations on W/C 8th April and get in touch with all applicants.

Scroll down to watch the story of Brad Steedman, a player for SYFF at the IFA U20 World Cup, who has since progressed to becoming a full Scotland international and playing in a FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign. You can also watch the IFA World Cup 2019 promotional video, to get a flavour for the event in general.

We understand that you may have a number of questions about how the IFA Scotland team will function. Anybody who fills out the trial application form, will be sent a set of FAQs to read, and given the opportunity to ask any further questions. Whether you are committed to playing or simply interested in finding out more, we would encourage you to fill out the form.
